OMMmm: Osteopathy & Yoga

CME Conference

The Maine-Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency has a long tradition of teaching integrative medicine. We invite Osteopathic Physicians to join us at Maine General Medical Center to investigate the intersection between Osteopathy and Yoga and see how the practice of Yoga can inform the clinical manipulative practice.

Our lead Program faculty are Osteopathic Physicians with Neuromuscular Medicine Certification who are also Yoga Instructors and who draw on both traditions in their practice of medicine. The participants are osteopathic physicians who practice manipulation and who seek to understand how their palpatory experience is affected by the practices of asana and pranayama.

This program is co-sponsored by the Maine Osteopathic Association (MOA). The MOA is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. The MOA designates this program for a maximum of 15 of AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity

"The conference was fantastic! Thank you so much for having vision and creativity and passion and sharing it with all of us!",

- Cathy Chamberlain, DO, 2017 OMMmm Participant

Thanks for a great weekend...It’s the first conference I've been to where I didn't want to leave. Or even run away or take a break at any point.”
